I thought it would be nice to take a little break from sharing home and nursery projects and instead quickly share some of my current favorite beauty products.
These are the beauty products that I've been loving, finding myself reaching for more than usual and would recommend to any friend.
My friend Lisa from Texas Decor shares posts like these every so often and they just seem like so much fun! No tutorial, no step by step instructions and no materials list. Just a simple girl to girl gab on beauty.
Very refreshing, right?
I'll start everything off with these Suave hair products that were sent to me a while back. I've always enjoyed Suave hair products and I look forward to every new line they come out with. This line is called Luxe Style and I've tried the hairsprays, mousses, creams, curling gel and blow dry spray (for volume).
I've really enjoyed alternating between products depending on my hairstyle for the day. None of these hair products leave a yucky residue on my hair, they make my hair easy to manage throughout the day and they are easy to wash off. Not to mention they smell sooooo good!
Do any of you use a setting spray to set your makeup when you're finished applying it? I do! Well at least I've been lately. I've used MAC's Fix + before and absolutely loved it! But as you all may know I constantly try new products so when I saw this NYX Dewy Finish Makeup Setting Spray I had to give it a try! I'm so glad I did because in my opinion it's just as good as the MAC one.
I always spray 4-6 pumps all over my freshly makeup applied face and it helps lock everything in and get rid of any powdery residue that can make you look cakey.
My face is left looking fresh and more natural and I notice my makeup lasts a lot longer! Yes, please!
You can find this at your local Target or Ulta.
This has been my most recent makeup brush find. It's the Complexion Brush from Target's Up & Up brand and I use it to apply my liquid foundation. I have several foundation brushes but I've been neglecting them for this one because I find the more densely packed bristles help cover up my acne scars with less product. Did I mention how soft it is? AND for it's quality I can't believe it's under $7! Such a steal!
My current favorite face toner is this Boots Expert Sensitive Gentle Refreshing Toner I purchased from Target.
It removes any trace of makeup left behind from my cleanser and refreshes and preps my face for my grapeseed oil that I swear by! You can read more about this amazing oil and how it healed my skin here.
I shared this final favorite on Instagram around Mother's Day. It's the Tarte Tartelette Palette
and it was a gift from my hubby. Let me tell you, I have NOT used any other eyeshadow since Mother's Day! I'm having too much fun combining colors and creating natural and more dramatic eye looks with this all matte palette!
Here's a natural look I was wearing the other day from colors of this palette...
Well that's all for now folks! I'll be back later in the week to share more projects that have been done in the nursery!
What beauty products have you been swooning after lately?
